Show It is but proper to state, as an evidence evi-dence of public sentiment, that the strongest denunciations of the highhanded high-handed and, anti-republican course pursued by the "ring" in this city, which wo have heard made during the present week, have been uttered by numbers of intelligent gentlemen, who never haye been, and have no intention of ever becoming, Mormons. It is the policy of the "ring" to make it appear ap-pear that they are endorsed by everybody every-body in Utah who is not a Mormon; yet they cannot but know how much they are despised and repudiated by high-minded gemlemeu iu this city and Territory, called by common usage Gentiles, who know them and their sinuous way?. |
