Show Coroner's IxyuasT. The following follow-ing is the verdict returned by the coroner's coro-ner's jury yesterday, in the case of Van Yalkenburgh: We, the jury, being empaneled and sworn to inquire into the cause of the death of Win. Van Valkenburgh, from the testimony beforo us, upon our oaths do say, the deceased was a native of Ontario county, State of New York, aged about thirty-two years; was a blacksmith, and died at his residence in the loth ward, Salt Lake city, on the uth of April, 1S72; causa of death, was coDjcstion of the brain, superinduced superin-duced by the excessive use of alcohol, and an overdose of acetate of morphine and hydrate of chloral, administered to deceased at tho city prison, Salt Lake city, April Sth, IS2, by Thomas Walworth. And we further find that the said Thomas Walworth was not actuated by any criminal intent, and that the medicine medi-cine was given improperly and not in accordance with the directions of tho attending physician.
