Show BULLION. Yesterday the Messrs. Woodhull displayed on the street 5,000 pounds of bullion from tbeir smelting works down the ir'tatc Road. They built their Cr.s on Thursday night to make a fair trial, kept the furnace heated for about ten hours and then commenced to food ore. Stopping off yesterday morning about 8 o'clock they had the result stated. About 10,000 pounds of ore were used, giving some fifty per cent, of metal. The ore came from Parley's Park, Bingham, Cottonwood, Cotton-wood, Tintic, East Canon and Dry Canon, being a mixture from these places. As no assay of the bullion has yet been made its exact value is not known, but it is principally lead. This is a very satisfactory result for the first trial. |
