Belle & Co., bankers, Idaho City, who is on a brief visit to Salt Lake. The; gentleman informs us that mining pros-; pacts in his Territory are improving. The placer diginiKS of BoinC Basin, which three years ago were deemed exhausted, are still paying well, and last year his bank shipped from Idaho City a million of dollars worth of gold; while the bank assayer at Boise City assayed $$UO,U0O worth. This season there are reported immense deposits of sTiOSvin the mountains giving certainty of abundance of water for mining uses, and there is every confidence entertained enter-tained that the coming Summer will be a most lively one. Mr. l)u Belle has a high opinion of this city and its location, satisfied that it has the be3t position for being the great leading centre and mart of commerce com-merce in the Bocky Mountain region. He leaves to-day for his placo of business in Idaho. |
