Show Skkd Wheat. Mr. G. Teasdale, of the produce department, Z. 0. M. I., showed us yesterday evening the finest specimens of seed wheat which we have seen in the country. They were of tho White Excelsior, Mediterranean and other varieties. Every farmer knows the importance of securing good seed; if he does not, ho has a great deal to learn about farming. The produce department can supply these varieties of seed to our agriculturists; agricul-turists; and when it is stated that experience ex-perience proves a yield twice as heavy from tho same ground can be obtained where sown with this wheat as from ordinary varieties or poor seed, its sale should bo rapid and largo. We hope our farmors will sou the necessity of securing improved varieties of grain while making rapid progress in other directions. The sampl s shown us were obtaiued from one of the leading seed houses ou the Pacific coast. See advertisement elsewhere; and call and examine thui. |
