Show "I TAPS THIS BANK." An amusing instance of a woman's pluck transpired in one our saloons recently. The lady is the wife of a well-known Irish resident, who at times indulges iu a friendly game of draw poker, who, on the occasion alluded to, was with several others enjoying his favorite pastime. The interesting moment mo-ment had arrived when he was planting the ''rocks'' for fifty ''better.'' Suddenly Sud-denly an apparition appeared, in the person of the viciin s better half. With a rush, she reached the table, cleared it of the "pot,'' collared her husbaud, and with countenance red with anger, remarked: 'T tnps this bank. Yees is a purty lot of blacklegs, wastin' your money on the divil's poker, that might buy wud to kape yourselves and your families warm while yees live lor the Lord knows yees won't go beggin for fire afterward. If I caches yees playin' wid my husbaud agin, I'll por ker ye!" She then " jumped the game" with her husband, and no doubt gave him a merited and m )del lecture after reaching home.
