Show . Theatre. To-morrow night 'M'lle M. Ravel commences her engagement hero, opening with tho "French Spy," mppoited by Messrs, Waldron, Me-Kenzie, Me-Kenzie, Power, Margetts, Thornc, Mackintosh, Mrs. M. G. Clawson and a full cast. Wo have given tho public a couple of extracts of the high appreciation ap-preciation in which this lady's abilities are hold in Peuver, au opinion endorsed en-dorsed in tho strongest manner by the press wherever she has appeared. In the "Freuch Spy" she has secured the verdict that she has no equal among actresses now playing in the piece, and contrasts most favorable are drawn between her performance of Hauiet and Henri St. Aime and that of Madame Mad-ame Celeste when the latter lady was in her prime. We remember we 11 the grace and poetry of motion of Madame Celeste and the indescribable charm which pervaded him on the boards, and wait with interest the appearance to-morrow night of her countrywoman, another French lady, in a part which gives such opportunity for impressive, graceful pantomime. The broadsword combat between M'lle Ravel and Mr. G. B. Waldron will be a feature of the performance, The farce of "Make Your Wills" will conclude. |
