| Show BOLDEST BURGLARY YET CROOKS OPERATE ON WHOLESALE WHOLE-SALE PLANS Go to a Residence With a Wagon and Deliberately Load It Up Other Burglaries The boldest burglary which has occurred oc-curred since the festivities of the Jubilee Ju-bilee were ushered Jn occurred last night about 10 oclock at 150 Seventh East The house at that number fronts east and is occupied by two families the north part being used by Attorney H R Watrous and his family and the south part of the house being occupied by the family of Mrs Colt Both families fam-ilies left home last night to see the display dis-play of fireworks Mrs Colt was the first to return home and found standing stand-ing in front of the house an express wagon upon the seat of which sat a man holding the reins of the horse She though nothing strange at seeing an express wagon standing there and I passed by it on her way to the house In the house she found two men who as she appeared upon the scene ran out of the back door and around the house passing out of the front gate to where the express wagon stoOd The wagon was loaded with things that had been stolen from the house The two men ran rapidly down Seventh East with the express wagon following close upon their heels Mrs Colt followed fol-lowed them carrying a baby in her arms and as she was passing Second South a street car came along which she hailed in order to get someone to follow the men and wagon There happened hap-pened to be two passengers in the car who knew the horse and wagon an knew where it belonged The burglary was reported to the police and it is expected that the bold thieves will be I bagged this morning The residence of A R Wright at 335 I Third street was broken into by a burglar I burg-lar or burglars last night between 830 and 1030 oclock while the family was absent on Capitol hill viewing the display dis-play of fireworks A large amount of jewelry was stolen No clue to the burglar has been obtained = f |
