OCR Text	Show IJerinst Sea Claims Victoria B C Dec 13 Captain Mc Lean witness for the United States was put through a searching crossex amination yesterday by the Hon Peters Pe-ters of the Bering sea commission Mc Lean was requested to identify several logs which he was supposed to have kept while master of different vessels His testimony of yesterday regarding the value of certain vessels was the next point upon which he was examined exam-ined but little of Importance was elicited elic-ited Major Alexander an expert employed by the United States commission was the next witness His testimony concerned con-cerned the valuation placed upon the schooner Carolina and other sailing vessels
