Show HERE AND THERE I The ladles of the city have taken the matter of a reception to the members of the constitutional convention in hand Meetings were held at the office of the Womans Exponent yesterday for the purpose of confenng In regard to the time and place of such reception when it was practically agreed that it would be given at the Templeton on Thursday evening The Womans Exchange meeting was held yesterday morning when the chief subject under discussion was a suitable location for the establishment of the exchange ex-change It was decided to rent 44 East Third South street for that purpose The executive committee met later and discussed dis-cussed plans for carrying on the lunchroom lunch-room which will soon be opened Mrs W C Fox resigned from the committee en location Mrs Mackintosh was appointed ap-pointed to succeed her and Irs Robert sons name added to the committee 1 Miss Susan B Anthony the famous pioneer in the woman suffrage movement Hev Anna Shaw a noted divine who Is vicepresident of the National Woman Suffrage association and vicepresident of the National Council of Women and borne prominent women citizens of Wyoming Wyom-ing and Colorado will arrive on the morning of May 12 Miss Shaw will speak at the tabernacle in the afternoon and will probably he heard at a special evening even-ing service at one of the churches The ladies of the First Congregational church will give a rainbow tea at the church on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p m and 7 to 10 p m The colors of the rainbow rain-bow will be reproduced in the costumes of the ladies and in the table decorations decora-tions There will be several organ solos by Prof Radcliffe in aid of the entertainment enter-tainment and Mrs Susie B Root is in charge of a form of entertainment called Dealing in Futures The police made a capture yesterday ih the shape of a quintette of vagrants who were found in a Second South street lodging house They gave their names as F H Wash H Lasahc John Morgan Billy Mason and Harry Miles The nrst named was booked on the charge of hawing haw-ing burglar tools in his possession Among his effects were skeleton keys and tools for turning When his room was searched a new valise a dark suit and an overcoat presumably stolen were also found Statistician Bleasdale met with a serious accident at Bluffdale on Thursday While pursuing the duties of his place outside a corral in which the hired men of the party from whom he was seeking information in-formation were breaking horses an infuriated horse in an effort to escape dashed through the bars breaking them in the leap Bleasdale was knocked down and his collar bone broken He says that he was unconscious for some time and that in the interval no one gave him any assistance When he revived ho asked for assistance to get to the train but it was refused He declares that it was with great difficulty that he succeeded suc-ceeded in getting a drink of water Bleasdale is now at his home in a very serious condition |
