Show ANOTHER REPORTED STRIKE Eigrlitynine Mine at Blnsrlmm Gives UI > RIch Ore Reports received in this city yesterday yester-day from BIngham were to the effect that an important strike had just been made in the EightyNine mine one of the Niagara group being worked under lease and samples of the ore encountered were sent in for I assay These assays were obtained in the afternoon and the returns were 183 ounces in silver and 30 per cent copper with some gold The strike has greatly encouraged the lessees and they will develop the new ore body very extensively for the purpose of determining just what they have It is possible of course that there may be very little of the new ore and then again it is possible that it maybe may-be the commencement of a great deposit de-posit of high grade ores Ores from the Spanish are now being be-ing delivered at the valley smelters by teams open warfare between the lessees and the railroad having been declared Contractor Bird Is doing the work after all and both Wednesday and Thursday his teams reached the Pennsylvania smelters with heavy loads One fourhorse team and a trail took down 13000 pounds and a silgle outfit delivered about 6000 pounds The roads are in splendid condition and Mr Bird says he is confident that the railroad can easily he outdone Messrs Thomas Heffron Watson and others will go out to BIngham this morning and the several properties are to be examined |
