Show WOMfNS 550CLUBS slN SESSION JEWISH COUNCIL ADMITTED TO THE FEDERATION I This Makes a Total of Thirtyone Preparations For a Field Day at Saltair The board of directors of the Utah Federation of Womens clubs met yesterday yes-terday afternoon at Rowland hall Almost Al-most important matter of business was the admission to the organization of four new clubs making the number of federated clubs in the state thirtyone The new acquisitions are Council of Jewish Women Salt Lake City Co rinne Reading club Corinne Emerson club Mercur and Da Copo Park City The outlook for increased membership member-ship was reported as most encouraging encourag-ing A new club at Spanish Fork and the Fidelia of Provo are among the new organizations that it is expected i will seek admission in the near future Field Day at Saltair The matter Of the field day at Salt air came up for discussion It was decided de-cided that it would be held in July and that the proceeds will go to Mrs C D Moores traveling library committee Further than this the plans for the excursion were left entirely in the hands of Mrs Kinneys committee It was decided that the next annual meeting which comes to Salt Lake would be held on Oct 26 27 and 28 Mrs President Jennings made some suggestions sugges-tions as to the general arrangements for the occasion but otherwise the pro gramme for the meeting is left in the hands of the committee Mesdames M Li Ritchie Alila Tupper Maynard A V Taylor W M Stewart and Oscar Moyle At the suggestion of Mrs Jennings it was decided that at the next meeting meet-Ing of the State Teachers association the Utah Federation would be represented repre-sented by its president who will give a paper on Home as a Preparation For the School Six of the seven general officers of the federation were present at yesterdays yester-days session These were President Mrs W C Jennings vice president Mrs Katherine Fletcher of Ogden corresponding cor-responding secretary Mrs W W Rater recording secretary Mrs C S Kinney state organizer Mrs Mary M F Allen Park City treasurer Mrs E E Corfman Provo Mrs W M Stewart of the directorate director-ate was also present o |
