Show i ONTO THE COATI COAT-I Buringtons Wyoming Extension Will Cross State of Uta Special Correspondence I heatand Wyo Aug 12Your correspondent cor-respondent recently visited ont of the Burlington grading camps on the Al I IanceHarhme line and obtained Information In-formation which throws some light on the ultimate Intended destination of the Burlngtons Hartm road This I Hartle extension Is nothing more or less than a part of a line which will be pushed on through Wyoming and Utah to the Pacific coast during the next two years In the survey of this line which I has penetrated far Into the central lr I thin of Wyoming seemingly no consid eraton has been paid to the cost of I making the road bed the chief purpose being to secure an easy grade with light curves In the stork of Iectlng the roadbed the engineers have run through hills and engneers ravines as though I were no trouble to mnov 1rt and as though but one purpose was In vieivtlt of reaching a given point I over the straightest possible route and I with the least possible grades At Fairbanks Wyo the Harhje I spur which Is now being constructed by the Colorado Fuel Iron company from a point on the Cheyenne North era three miles south of Badger station sta-tion wi not cross the Burlington tracks but il run under the later thus Saving the loss of time In opert leg trains which track crossings neces slttc On to the coast seems to be the watchword of the Burlington and while they are making no noise about the mater the work goes steadily on and with surprising speed |
