| Show BOGUS CHECK SWINDLERS Two Ogden Pirms Coin Fund of Experience Ex-perience Th Boyle Furniture company and Anderson Olsen have been made the victim of bogus check swindlers the former to the extent of 8750 and the laiter to the tune of 2150 A mann man-n med James Wilson entered the Boyle establishment and asked to pay hIs bill which amounted to 3 and tendered the 8750 check The check purported to have been drawn by one Atwood Brown tin the Davis county bank and a Wilson lad the man was all right Boyle was Induced to accept the c1 ck It afterwards developed that the check was no good but Wilson had disappeared disap-peared The check passed upon Anderson Olsen was for 2LnO and purported to be drawn by Perham Bros Parker and was jayable toJames Johnston It afterwards developed that the check Wa regular enough and had been stolen sto-len from Johnston and the thief when endorsing the check nor the ana Johnson hence the bank refused to pay It The officers are on the lookout lor the men Suspects Discharged Amos Carr and Joseph Todd the men arrested by Sheriff Layne on suspicion of being the parties who stole a pack intosh from L F Clark Sons were discharged by Justice Wardlelgh last evening They testified that they purchased pur-chased the coat for 150 from a man in Ogden and the court held that there was not suflicient evidence to the contrary con-trary and they were released Ogden Briefs Leon B Goldberg was up from Salt Lake yesterday James Simpson and Miss Edna Scho field both of Hooper were married by Justice Hall yesterday J H Clemes of Denver and E W Wilson of Salt Lake representing the Mortgage Trust company of Pennsylvania Pennsylva-nia were In the city yesterday Albert Brown son of James M Brown and Miss Rachel Brown daughter daugh-ter of Harvey Brown of Huntsville wore married in the temple at Salt Lake yesterday A reception was tendered ten-dered the bride and groom at J M Browns residence last evening |
