Show THEY TOOK A RIDE And Then Wound Up In the Police Station 1 Two girls Annie Anderson of 169 North Second West and Daisy White I of 142 North Second West aged 15 and 12 years respectively acquired undesirable unde-sirable notoriety and a registration at I police headquarters last night Their caper consisted in an appropriation of the horse and buggy of L B Wright I of Taylorsville for a few hours ride about the city Mr Wright hitched his ng near The Herald corner early in the evening and later was surprised to see it near the postofiice in the possession of the two girls Upon his approach they jumped out and ran north through the alley to the store of Clark Eldredge Co where one of them was overtaken over-taken by Mr Wright the other one being be-ing captured by Policeman Chase near No2 fire department The father of one of the girls appeared at police station sta-tion and secured the release of the girls to go home but as they are charged with taking a horse and buggy their appearance will probably be required in police court Monday Police Notes Thomas Spaulding was arrested yesterday yes-terday for committing an assault and battery upon Benjamin Whitehouse at the Conklin sampling works White house says he asked Spauldingto pay what he owed him and in response received re-ceived a blow in the face The case will be heard in police court Monday Andrew Christensen and Gus Allen two lads arrested for stealing bottles from the Kentucky liquor store were discharged by Judge Timmony yesterday yester-day |
