territory of Utah desire to call your attention to the ross injustice dono to the plumbers and steamfitters of this territory and tho favoritism shown a foreign competitor in the matter of the letting of the contract for work to be done on tho Provo Insane asylum at Provo City Utah The call for proposals as per clipping from newspaper attached states distinctly that steamheating plumbing electrical conclusively that it was entirely unnecessary for us to have wasted our time labor and energy as there was evidently no desire or intention to consider seriously any local competitor in the matter mat-ter Further we would say that all of the bidders locally are responsible and thoroughly capable and competent to per form the work employing as good and possibly pos-sibly superior skilled labor in complet ing the same in a workmanlike manner and who are citizens taxpayers and men of families who have the interest and welfare of the territory at heart instead in-stead of cheap contract labor imported simply to finish this work for the few dollars dol-lars that may accrue and after completion who have no other interests whatever in the welfare of the territory We submit this to your
