Show M INFANT IS JURED a h i An Accident Which May Yet 1 End in Death 1 A BUGGY SMASHED TO PIECES 0 Excellent Prospect for Fruit of All Kinds in and Around Pleasant GroveOther Utah News Yesterday as Mr William Kirk of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove with his wife and two children f were out driving on the Provo bench their horse became unmanageable and backed the buggy with its load of living freight into a cave or hole about twelve or o fourteen feet deep All the occupants were thrown out and more or less bruised or injured The baby two months old is not expected to live the others were not so seriously hurt The buggy was a complete wreck The recent storms had made the cave so muddy that the horse could hardly extricate himself and was therefore so cured while Mr Kirk obtained assistance to got his family home Another accident of a similar character occurred here a few days since Mr George Richards was out with his wife and child trying tho new buggy In returning from American Fork about dusk they collided col-lided with another team Mrs Richards and child were thrown out and the buggy smashed fragments All the parties were badly frightened but luckily escaped with a low bruises The health of the people generally is better than at any previous time this season and our p hysician Dr Rogers has taken the opportunity to be quite ill himself him-self We are pleased to state however that he is at present improving There is a splendid prospect for fruit of all kindsnever better The late rains have made our farmers rejoice and as they are the population we hope it means business all round We are pleased to learn that Miss Laura B Work will soon resume her labors here as teacher of the Presbyterian school She is a lady well known and highly respected I by our citizens and will be welcomed by all ITINEUAXT PLEASAXT GnovE May 23 |
