Show PREPARING FOR GERMAN DAY Tho Oath of Mount Gruetli Which Made Swlt z rland Free Last evening 150 enthusiastic Germans met at Turner hall to complete the hal arrangements arrange-ments and determine the programme for German day on the 6th of October The gathering was composed of both ladies and gentlemen the ladies making speeches and voting equally with the sterner sex The purpose of the meeting could not be carried out several of the committee not being present to report so that various prospec tivo features of the programme were only discussed and several committees appointed appoint-ed Messrs W Maack Chris DicEd and F Hook were appointed a committee of ar rangements for the banquet andF Finck ly W Hacuggi and F Hassler 0 committee to provide a wagon to bo present in the procession a symbol of those who have taken the oath of liberty on Mount Gruetli in Switzerland Gruet The meeting adjourned to meet again next Sunday afternoon at 3 oclock to de termine the complete proganmme which I will then be announced |
