Show IN THE SILENT TOMB Funeral Services of Gee W Childs Yesterday Philadelphia Feb 6The remains of George W Childs were laid to rest today in the Drexel mausoleum WoodLand Wood-land cemetery beside those of his closest friend A J Drexel who died a few months ago Funeral services were held this afternoon after-noon in the St James Episcopal t c < w church of which the deceased was a vestryman for years This was a public pub-lic service and subsequent to a brief private service at the residence At the conclusion of this service the friends present were allowed to look at the face of the departed philanthropist Then the casket was borne to the church where the services were conducted con-ducted by Bishop Potter of New York Bishop Whittaker of Philadelphia Rev J H Blancher rector of St James and Dr William Bodine rector of the Church of our Savior of which the deceased was a member |
