Show Classes Slated At Davis U. Of U. Two new classes, "Motorcycle "Motor-cycle Rider Safety" and "Watercolor Workshop" will be starting soon at the Davis University of Utah-Bountiful Art Center. MOTORCYCLE Rider Safety is a five-day concentrated concen-trated course to be held May 12 through May 16, designed to provide novice riders of at least 16 years of age with motorcycle and classroom instruction in-struction in driving skills and on-road safety. At the end of 20 hours of instruction, students may qualify for a motorcycle license. Motorcycles and helmets hel-mets are provided, but students stu-dents must bring riding gloves. WATERCOLOR Workshop will be held on four Saturday afternoons, May 9 through June 6, and will be a landscape painting class on location in and around Bountiful. The class, taught by Zelda Bills, will offer instruction in basic landscape composition and will cover specific techniques techni-ques and special effects, helping help-ing students to develop their personal styles. Both beginning begin-ning and advanced students are welcome. MS. BILLS, a native Utahn, has work in private and public collections around the country. coun-try. She is currently teaching in her own studio, known as The Art School. A graduate of the University of Utah with degrees de-grees in both art and education " she has exhibited in many local ' galleries over the last 12 years. Both classes are available for University of Utah credit or non-credit. Students may register at the Davis University Universi-ty of Utah-Bountiful Art Center, Cen-ter, 2175 S. Main, Bountiful, or through Division of Continuing Con-tinuing Education on the University Uni-versity of Utah campus. |
