Show County Court Mcetlnsr The county court met yesterday In regular regu-lar session with Judge Bishop and Selectmen Select-men Cross Shurthff and Foy present Mrs David J Evans of Pleasant View appeared aud asked that a portion of her taxes be remitted She stated 7 had been remitted her by the board of equalization but that there wore yet 17 and that her husband was injured last April and will probably never be able to perform manual I labor again Ths matter was referred to the clerk for investigation A petition signed by John Patterson and twentyfour others was prusented asking ask-ing that the voting places of Kanesville precinct be changed to the Summit schoolhouse school-house alleging that more than twothirds of the voters in the precinct reside near the latter schoolhouse The matter was I referred to the county court to render an opinion as to whether the county court has jurisdiction to order the change A petition was received from taxpayers protesting against ceunty roads by means of tramway asserting that it would be very expensive and urging that all the money the county can spare bo divided proportionately among the various districts dis-tricts Referred to Cross The weekly report of the county collector was received and ordered filed which showed the total amount of taxes for the year 1S92 to be la2403 Selectman Fey recommended that about Beventyetive porch of rock be hauled to the West Weber bridge while the water was low to prevent the water from washing wash-ing around it The recommendation was adopted on motion of Shurtliff The application of A L Higley for the leasing of twenty acres of sClll > lands was referred to Selectman Cross A number of claims were allowed and the board adjourned for one week |
