In the House WASHINGTON Sept 20Ths journal was I read without objection OFerrall of Virginia Vir-ginia objected to its approval and demanded de-manded the yeas and nays As the Democrats Demo-crats rose in support of this demand and had their names noted the speaker counted thirtyseven Democrats present not enough to order the yeas and nays Breckinridgo of Kentucky demanded tellers this time The speaker counted fortyeight The yeas and nays having been ordered there was a Democratic exodus and in a moment the Democratic seats were well nigh deserted de-serted A vote resulted yeas 151 nays nothing No quorum Adjourned
