| Show A Late Champlain Hotel Demolished THor July 8 Reports received at the railroad station late tonight state that the Bluff Point hotel on the shore or Lake Champlain owned by the Delaware Hudson railway company was blown into the lake this afternoon and several lives lost I is known that a severe storm amounting almost to a cyclone raged In that vicinity today and the wires are all down and no particulars obtainable I is reported from Saratoga that near Bluff Point a number of persons out in rowboats are lost Sixteen or more are said to be missing LaterGeneral Passenger Agent Bur dick of the Delaware Hudson left hereafter here-after midnight for Bluff Point He said the latest information was thatwhile the hotel was considerably damaged only one 1 I life was lost The storm is of extreme severity 1 h ILater Passengers on the train which reached here at a a m from Montreal say the storm was general from Rouses P oint t Whitehall Many houses at Rouses Point and other towns along the lake were destroyed Bluff Point hotel they state is seriously damaged but no one injured One guest name unknown who was out in a row boat was drowned |
