Show RIELLY IS GUILTY I I The TrainWrecker to be Sentenced Sen-tenced ToMorrow THE CHINESE ROBBERY CASE I Cronin Found Guilty and Sent Up For Three Months Two 31ore Indictments He 1 ported Other Business I I I The trial of Charles Ritilly charged i with placing obstructions on the Utah Nevada track a short time ago was resumed re-sumed yesterday in the Third district court The prosecution bad made out avery a-very strong caso against the defendant and the defense could not I meet this Rielty did not go on the stand at alL The jury promptly brought in a verdict of guilty and sentence was set for October 2 FOR ROBBING A CnnfAMAX In the afternoon the cano of Andrew J OMallay and Stephen Cronin charged with robbery was taken up Mr Crit blow b-low prosecuting The indictment alleged that on June 27 last the defendants heldup a Chinaman named Sam Lee at Park City and relieved him of 9S5 The evidence for the prosecution showed that on the night of June 27 the defendants were walking upon Main street iu Park City when they met the China man Cronin jumped him and robbed him of tho money stated and there was some evidence tending to show that he tired a shot The evidence connecting OMally with the crime was rather remote as ho did not appear to have actually participated in it and when the officer arrived on the scene ho was some distance away The jury acquitted OMally and found Cronin guilty of asBult The latter stated he was V wasV ready for sentence and Judge Zane sentenced V sen-tenced him to three months imprisonment V in the county jail LTHE MILLER CASE CONTINUED The case of Frank A Miller charged L withjmpersonating Deputy Marshal Bush was continued on motion of the defense OTHER MATTERS Gustave Kroeger of Nebraska was admitted ad-mitted to the bar The grand jury came into court and reported re-ported two indictments under United States laws Adjourned until this V morning at 10 oclock |
