Show THE TOWNSITE CASE I i The Protestants Close Their Case With 31r bullivan The hearing in the Eureka townsite case was resumed in the land office yesterday morning when Mr Sullivan one of the protestants was recalled for further cross examination He testified that be was not interested as an owner in the Home Hue claim He built a house upon ground within the limits of that claim since its location but consented to vacate it as soon as it was deemed necessary QWas not that house built against the protest of the owners of the claim J tThey havo protested but after I consented After that suggestion they said all right Witness was then interrogated in regard to what he termed the mineral workings on j I his claim and which it seemed simply I meant the sinking of a shaft there The redirect examination by Major Bird had reierence to certain assays of ore from the Wolf Tone claim and the sinking of the shaft there The protestants here rested their case and an adjournment was taken until tomorrow to-morrow when the townsite people will commence their bombardment which may last a couple of weeks |
