Show Centerville Wards Are Divided, Changed A memorable meeting was held in the Centerville Utah Stake on Sunday, June 20th, 7:30 p.m. at which new alignments align-ments for all of the nine wards were announced, and also the alignments of three new wards, making a total of 12 wards in the Stake at the present time. THE MEETING was held in the Valley Music Hall, or Bountiful Regional Center, in order to accommodate everyone in the stake. The large facility was more than two thirds filled with very interested members. President Stanley Smoot presided and conducted the meeting and his counselors, Robert Trump and Darrell Tingey read the names of the heads of the families in each new ward. AS EACH Ward was named, the members stood and voted to sustain their leaders, some of which retained re-tained their former positions. Bishops of the three new Wards are Richard Brown, Tenth Ward, Charles Fuller, Eleventh Ward, and Dean Christensen, Twelfth Ward. New High Councilmen were sustained to replace those vacated for other positions. BEAUTIFUL organ music was played as a prelude to the meeting by Grace Parrr h. A report on the Stakes trip to Idaho to help the people in the flood stricken area was given by President Trump. Ik |
