Show An Accident Prevented I About 830 last evening just as the Union Pacific passenger train to Ogden had passed the gravel switch at the Superior Super-ior addition near the Folsom brickyard an empty gravel car standing on the switch broke loose started down the grade and tipped over below the switch thus blockad the main track Two gentlemen J W Green and Alfred Nilson saw the car and aroused neighborhood and some gentlemen gentle-men went to signal tho train from Salt Lake i any should come while the two above named gentjemen together with Mr C V Anderson started north to signal the passenger train from Ogden They took some woodand made 3 fire on the track and Mr Anderson started to Becks hot springs to try to stop the train there but ho did not succeed because the train got there before him but the two gentlemen at the fire smeeeded nnd thus prevented a terriblo accident The train consisted of two passenger coaches loaded with passengers pas-sengers mostly women and children |
