Show I J t .'A , 1 ; V, r - MRS. DARWIN POPE. Church Rites Debra Kaye Hansen, daughter of Merlin and Kaye Hansen, Bountiful, became the bride of Darwin Kent Pope. Rev. Donald Proctor performed the ceremony on the evening of May 20, 1978 in the Bountiful Community Church. THE BRIDE walked down the candlelit aisle on the arm of her father and paused long enough to honor her grandfather, grand-father, Mike Dakis, Salt Lake City, by presenting him with a bright red flower from her bridal bouquet. The bridal gown was fashioned from flowing dacronorganza, heavily detailed de-tailed in French imported chantilly lace which was outlined in seed pearls and crystal pleating. The full bishop sleeves were cuffed at the wrist with chantilly lace. The gown featured a chapel train. Her veil was designed and created by her sister-in-law, Nannette Hansen. It was finger-tipped length and caught at the top with a regal crown. THE BRIDE carried a cascade cas-cade of talisman roses, tipped carnations and yellow tipped carnations and yellow baby breath. She wore "something borrowed" from her mother, a golden wedding band that had belonged to her great-""' great-grandmother who lived in Greece. "Something old" was a lace handkerchief from Liz Fullerton. Five bridesmaids, gowned in green crepe with yellow and green chiffon capes, carrying rainbow floral bouquets, attended the bride. They were Lynne Decker, Kathy Johnson, Maxine Wood and Marjorie Young, all sisters of the groom, and Nannette Hansen. SERVING as matron of honor for her sister was Mrs. Ross (Karen) Tyler. Miss Aimee Pope served as flower girl and Shane Pope was the ring bearer. . Best man duties were assumed as-sumed by Scott Kremer and ushers were Dave Hansen, Ross Tyler, Scott Fullerton, Neal Johnson and Frank Bradbury, Jr. Ushers seating the guests were Dan Kretch- man and Dick Moffitt. DOREEN Booth was at the organ and Scott Kremer presented a medley of songs before the service. Ross Tyler, brother-in-law of the bride and a student at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, Calif., conducted the Holy Communion rites, which were served from a chalice made by Maxine Wood. The reception was held at the Elks Lodge and was catered ca-tered by Joy Bradbury. Seated at the bride's book was Patty Timmons and in charge of gifts was Connie McGrath. THE rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Pope. The bride and groom are both graduates of Bountiful High School. The bride attended at-tended the University of Utah and the groom completed classes at the General Motors Training Center in Salt Lake City. He was chosen "Man of the Year in 1974" by the Bountiful Jaycees and is an active member of the Elks. A HONEYMOON to Hawaii is scheduled for early July.
