Show I BEFORE MB McKAY A Couple of Mormons Released on Bonds Yesterday Business before Mr McKay which has not been likened unto the boom for some time past picked up a little yesterday yes-terday by the bringing in of James M Fisher of Mill Creek In his case four witnesses had been subpoenaed Carl Capson Mrs Sarah A Chapman Mrs Edith Fisherand Mrs Lydia A Fisher The complaint usual was signed by D W Rench and bore the date of October Oc-tober last The ladies in the case named were Mrs Edith and Mrs Ellen Fisher The defendant entered a plea of not guilty and stated that he desired to waive examination This was not allowed by the obliging Mr Varian who called Mrs Edith Fisher as a witness The lady testified that she had married the defendant thirty years ago that be had no other wife at that time and that she had never been divorced She declined to answer any further questions alleging alleg-ing that she was the legal wife of the defendant de-fendant and was excused Defendant was held in bonds of 1500 and the witnesses were required to give 200 bonds for their appearance when wanted R J Tnrpin a resident of Grander was then called to plead to a similar complaint He said he was not guilty and desired to waive examination This was allowed and the bonds for witnesses wit-nesses and principal fixed in the same amounts as above t |
