Show Protection for Wool Growers Concerning the wool industry a correspondent corres-pondent writes us as follows In I recent letter to Charles Crane president of Utah Wool Growers association from our well known townsman W L Pickard I extract and send you the following I will state that i there is anything I can do for the western wool grower will be pleased to dot do-t but of course you know nothing can be done without money and i you want someone some-one to go to Washington you will have to send a goodsized draft for that is what counts The tariff reform league are around with a petition for the manufac tuners t sign for free wool and something will have t be done by the growers or they will get it through they never sleep and what you do will have to be done quickly Judging from the above it behooves the wool grower everywhere to be up and doing do-ing and contribute liberally to the cause Charles Crane the president of the Utah Vool Growers association was elected togo to-go to Washington as soon as called upon by the National association and as soon as sufficient funds could be collected for that purpose I is a difficult matter t reach all the wool growers at this season of the year It is hoped however all will contribute tribute without urgent solicitation as the very existence of the industry now depends upon the active interest taken by wool men themselves Colonel J E Clinton of Nephi the scene tory of the association and James Chesney of Salt Lake are securing subscriptions for the utherance of the cause |
