Show Parents Education Resource Center Sponsors Activity In keeping with the Center's theme for the year, "Streng-thenmi; "Streng-thenmi; the Family," the I'a-rent I'a-rent F.Jueation Resolute Center Cen-ter of the Davis School District is sponsoring another parent education activity tonight. Dr. (ilen C. (ii iffin will discuss the importance of the child-parent relationship and ways that relationship re-lationship can be enhanced. DR. CRIFF1N is an internationally-known pediatrician, writer, and syndicated newspaper news-paper columnist who believes it is important to spend one-to-one time with his kids that he often takes one of them w hen he travels across the country to give a seminar or a convention conven-tion talk. Dr. Griffin thinks like an efficiency expert. His home, family and office may remind some of the movie "Cheaper by the Dozen." He designed a one-of-a-kind medical office where patients drive up to their own room which is furnished like a small living room complete com-plete with sofa, easy chair, soft lighting and carpeting. Patients Pa-tients never come in contact with other patients which makes things more calm and keeps people from coughing all over each other. Infrared sensors, sen-sors, closed circuit TV and other electronics keep the staff informed as to patient's arrival and departure. DR. GRIFFIN 5 and his wife, Mary Ella, w ho is a nurse and who works w ith him in his office and on his books, have six children in grade school, junior high, high school, college, col-lege, and a married daughter who is also a nurse. Dr. Griffin is a clinical assistant assis-tant professor of pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine, president of the Intermountain Pediatric Society, Soci-ety, chairman of the Utah Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and a member of the International Platform Association. HE HAS appeared on radio and television talk shows and has written several books. Covenant Recordings has recorded re-corded his tape sets about sex and morality. Upcoming cassette cas-sette tape sets will be about "Teaching Instead of Telling," Tell-ing," and "How to Get Your Kids to do Everything You Want. ..Well, Almost Every thing." This seminar will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the Monte Vista Center, 70 S. 200 E., Farmington. There is a registration fee of $1 per person per-son and pre-registration is requested. re-quested.
