We are sorry to learn that Dorothy and Marlin Nelson's baby has been hospitalized for pneumonia. The Second Ward is looking forward to a big dinner dance on Jan. 30. It will be held in the cultural hall of the Second Ward Chapel. The twins of Kent and Sheryl Martineaus have been in the hospital with pneumonia. pneumo-nia. Grandma Green has been up from California to help the family. The Steve Nelsons have moved to Marlinda subdivision subdivi-sion from the Summer Tree subdivision. John and Myra DeWaal, missionaries, have moved to 17779 Valade, River View, Michigan. They will be home in February or March. Scott Smith, son of the Lynn Fernelises, is having fun as he plays on the Viewmont junior varsity basketball team. The Bill Goldbergs hosted their traditional New Year's day party for some 75 people. All of Bill's family and all of Kay's family were there. Ann Marie Goldberg is participating par-ticipating in the ski racing program at Park City. Kay likes cross country skiing. Kathy Olsen and her husband hus-band are the new librarians in the First Ward. The Fourth Ward youth enjoyed en-joyed a tubing party last Saturday. Satur-day. He returned home in time to go to the Holiday Bowl with his other daughter, Nancy and Jerry Meservy. The Bud Stringhams spent New Year's day with their daughter LaVonne Williams and family. LaVonne is a legal secretary in Salt Lake City. Carolyn Whittingten still remembers re-members her trip to England where she stayed with relatives rela-tives on her father's side in Hinckley in the Midlands. She went to London but did not do much sightseeing because of the snow. Jewel Buys takes turns in being in Brigham City to help take care of LuEtte's small children and having the children chil-dren at her home. Last week she had Malinda and Shealeen. We extend sympathy to Ber-nice Ber-nice and Dell Nobel in the death of her brother, Stuart Smith. The funeral was held last Wednesday. Eileen and Keith Salmon entertained en-tertained Eileen's brother, Doug and Jane Linburg from Albuquerque, N.M. They also enjoyed a visit from Eileen's mother, Geneal Smith and her father, Rulon Smith. John and Dixie Taft traveled to Roy to attend the farewell of his parents last week who are going to serve in Washington. |
