| Show I THE CRESCENTS NEW SUIT More Trouble With the Wasatcfc Mining Company The Crescent has another law suit oa its hands which may be something form for-m dabl otherwise as events develop it is of sufficient importance however to have been the cause of the recent drop in the price of Crescent stocka drop which has now placed that commodity com-modity on a par with Apexthe brokers reporting th it even swaps have baen ofiered curing the week The circumstances of the new lawsuit law-suit are as follows In the judgment which the late Wm Jennings and Mr John Clark brought against the Wasatch Minitg Company there was a small piece of ground a part of the Pinjon not included it being a piece that the old Pmyon deeded back tothe Wasatch Mining Company rt the time of obtaining the patent Both the owners of the judgment howver and the Cr s jentOonii any who bought from Jennings and GlarE supposed al toe ground was embraced The suing stockholders of the Watach Mining Company wer aware all along they say that no title had ever been passed from them of the property in question and on the 3i inst they held a meeting for the purpose of making a sale to the Boss Mining Company for 5000 the Boss being a Michigan concern said to be very anxious to secure thepiece in dispute The Crescent Company however how-ever obtained an injunction preventing prevent-ing the Wasatch people from making the sale alleging that the land in dispute dis-pute bad been conveyed to them in the mutual guaranty of the Jennings e3 tine and the suing stockholders The Crescent Company farther claim that they have been prEing in the ground taking ore out of it for some time past on which showing the Wasatch people turn gleefully around bring a counter suit alleging in their claims that the title of the Pinyon ground had never passed from them and ask the court to award them damages as it may see fit for the ore admitted to be taken from their ground all of which forms a pretty complication and one that will he watched with interest by the opposite oppos-ite armies of local stockholders on each aids |
