Bland I Lynclieil PnTtusnbi Va Nor 2Bland the negro who assaulted the daughter of Dr Gee inspector of timber at Disputanta near here was taken from jail this morning morn-ing and lynched Miss Gee is a daughter of Hon Charles Gee United States inspector of timber it Sitka Alaska Henr King colored jailer at Disputanta resisted the mob stoutly and refused to give up tho keys to the jail The mob placed a rope around Ins neck and were dragging him to the jail when one of them discovered the keys in his pocket and released him Bland was a worthless character He begged strongly for mercy but in vain
