Show GOVERNMENTAL PROBLEMS The IJaho Contention Turns its Attention to the Question of Corporations BOISE CITY Idaho July 20 Special telegram to Tit HEUUD The convention conven-tion resumed the consideration of the report re-port of committee on public and private corporations this morning and disposed of tho same before the noon recess with the exception of the section relating to trusts No corporation shall be created or altered unless under general laws The legislature legisla-ture may provide by law for tho revoking or annulling of any charter or incorporation incorpora-tion stockholders may cumulate shares and give ono candidate as many votes as the number of directors multiplied by his shares of stock shall equal or to distribute them on the same principle among as many candidates as he shall think fit Sections makes all railroads under complete legisla lative control Railroads have no right to pool and subsidies of all kinds are forbidden forbid-den Thero is a strong section against trusts which tho legislature is enjoined to enforce with suitable penalties which may extend to the forfeiture of their property and franchise The report was reported before noon when a recess was taken till 2 oclock The irrigation question was taken up in committee of the whole at 330 The committee com-mittee then arose to give sufficient length of time to allow the suffrage bill to be put upon its final passage It was passed by a large majority and now goes to the revision committee The consideration of the irrigation bill was resumed The riparian rights of miners min-ers as contradistinguished to those of agriculturists ag-riculturists were debated by Claggett Ainslie Hepburn Gray Allen Sweet and others At 5 oclock the debate was still in progress The convention has been doing business all the afternoon without a quorum no one moving a call of the house |
