Show FROM WASHINGTON OJ Concerning the Presidents Health at Present THE FLOODS IN 3II5SOUJR1 A Big Blowout Keveraed To Indemnify the thJilee Earthquake Other Notes Washington Words WASHINGTON March 22 Colon el La mont in conversation today in regard to the Presidents health showed that the fears recently expressed by Dr Sowers are not shared by the Presidents Presi-dents family and intimatefriends The President Colonel Lamont said was to all appearances in perfect health He did not thinkDr Sowers was in a position posi-tion to judge of the matter as he DID NOT KNOW THE PRESIDENT and what he said was in the Colonels opinion based merely on the assertion that the President was gaining flesh and took no exercise This was not the case As a matter of fact he continued the President weighs less than when he first came to Washington and really takes as much exercise as most other men It is true he does not walk about the cty but he frequently walks in the country and there are other ways in which he gets exercise The Colonel added that altogether the President is in a good condition and there is no apprehension ap-prehension in regard to his health The President has appointed the following fol-lowing INTERSTATE COMMISSIONERS Thomas W Cooly of Michigan r for the term of six years William R Morrison of Illinois for the term of five years Agustus Schoonmaker of New York for the term of four years A dace F Walker of Vermont for the term of three years and Walter L Bragg of Alabama for the ternl of two years |
