Show The Masonic Ball There was a brilliant assemblage at the ppera House last evening drawn together for the purpose of whiling away a few hours in the mazy dance There was a profusion of jewels and I elegant toilettes spadetail coats and diamond studs Everything passed away pleasantly The music was superb su-perb the floor in splendid condition The decoration composed of Japanese fans parasols etc was unique and pretty The ball was given for the benefit of the Masonic Library ana must have netted a fair sum An objectionable ob-jectionable feature was the absence of programmes which caused more or less contusion in taking places for the dance The committee iu charge has cause to feel proud of its work |
