Show Strange Death of a Tramp A story comes from Rawlings as follows fol-lows A hunter in the Elkhead Mountains Moun-tains of Northern Colorado tells of the singular death of a tramp who came to his camp a month ago footsore ragged and half frozen After resting for sev eral days at th camp of the hunter he was fornshed with full directions to find tho place he was in search of Among his articles of attire he sported alongtailed coat and carried a bottle of whisky in each pocket Several days afterwards the hunter found a short distance from this camp the tramos body suspended by his coat tails from the limb of a large tree He had climbed the tree to look over the coun try and mak sure of his course and he had fallen headlong The coat tails had aided by the weight and action of the bottles knotted themselves about the limb and being fastened at the throat by a stout buckskin string had been jerked up over the head en tangling the arms and shutting off respiration There was nothing to indicate indi-cate who he was |
