Show Now THE Supreme Court of WisconsIn Wiscon-sin has dashed the hopes of the women of the State who were counting on enjoying en-joying the privilage of walking up to the polls like little men on election day and voting for the men of their choice The Legislature passed a law allowing women to vote for school officers and some of the ladies in their judicial way of reading and thinking concluded that the statute entitled them to the franchise in its fullness Those brutes of menthe men-the election judges read and hcu > ht otherwise and refused to receive the ballots offered by the ladies Oneof the latter did not propose to be put off by a bluff of that kind and she brought suit against the election judges The case has been carried up until the final de cision is against Mrs Olympia Brown Willis The Wisconsin ladies generally are to be congratulated on the outcome of the suit for it will relieve them of a responsibility they were not anxious to hccept |
