Show S The Cattle Went WASHINGTON July lBThe Secretary of the Interior has received a number of telegrams in regard to cattle trails through Indian Territory some of them from drovers complaining that the trails are still obstructed and others from stock growers requesting that cattle be not forced through until the judiciary be ascertained if the rights of parties to the controversy can he had They also request that a veterinary veterin-ary burgeon be sent to Indian Territory tp examine the condition of herds Secretary Sec-retary Lamar today sent the following follow-ing dispatuh to Inspector Armstrong at Cheyenne and Arapahoe agency in Indian Territory The trail leaving from Fort Supply in a northerly direction direc-tion to and into thenentral strip known as Camp Supply Trail must be opened forl the phssage of cattle forcibly for-cibly stopped and for other purposes of interested commerce You will confer with General Sheridan who has instructions in-structions of even date herewith fron the War Department as to the adoption adop-tion of measures best calculated to eC I fectuate this |
