Show P I THE COUNTY REDUCES The Liquor Licenses Cut Down Fifty Per Cent The county officials after some deliberation delib-eration have decided on reducing the license of county liquor dealers 50 percent per-cent making it 150 a quarter instead II of 300 The movement one of the officers last evening said to a HERALD reporter was induced by the fact that the jump to 1200 a year had been a mistake and the county was now convinced con-vinced of it It had been as prohibitory in its nature as if the county had nailed up the doors of the saloons and render it impossible to sell liquor even in Bingham and Alta the design originally origin-ally had not been to entirely prohibit the traffic but only to sustain it and direct it in respectable channels The deadfalls and State Koad hell holes the officer stated places which it was desirable to close had all stopped selling I sell-ing and wouldnot be able to resume under the 600 license the vote to make the change wa a unanimous one All parties to whom licenses are granted will be required to furnish 1000 bonds and it is thought this proviso will keep the traffic respectable hands |
