stockholders stock-holders of Z C M Jt occurred at the Social Hall at 2 oclock yesterday afternoon after-noon there was a lighter attendance than usual owing of course to the absence of semiannual Conference rates on the railroads Time meeting was called to order by VicePresident William Jennings and the secretary and treasurer nTncpetlefl to read the presidents thirtysecond semiannual report for the six months ending January 31st it opens with some general references to the condition of trade and says that despite the general depression the insti tution has done very well in the six nionths which the report covers Farmers Far-mers are still without a market for their produce and the wages of laboring people rule lower than for some time past but cOnsidering all things the institution in-stitution has abundant reason to feel ratified with its hnnr 1hn n I is expressed that the worst of the de pression has passed and that with the opening of spring business matters generally i gen-erally will begin to look up The volume of trade has been as large the times I and circumstances would warrant but not so great as formerly From the de tails of the report we glean the Bros and Mrs James Keats The Butt Suit The big mining suit in which Walker I Bros are plaintiffs was called in court at Butte on the 3d bat was continued until the September term Careen Bolivar Roberts informs us that everything continues to look most promising at his property and twenty men are kept steadily employed Some ore is shipped to this market but large quantities are stored on the dump pending the time when a suitable rate can be obtained from the railroad to justify the company in shipping to Colorado Col-orado where the copper product of the mine finds a market The Lead Mine The usual force is kept at work but no new developments are to be recorded re-corded The indications seem to shift from promising to unpromising with each report sent clown Horn Silver lnquiry yesterday afternoon At thr office elicited the fact that the force of men at the mine was still pecking away and that there was nothing known as to the period when work on the old large scale would be
