Show A CURIOUS WELL A Bottomless Pit of Water Near Logan Oh the road to Trenton about sixteen miles from Logan is a natural well which somewhat of a curiosity It is rocked up the sides and bears ever resemblance re-semblance to its smaller brethren of which there are so many in Logan It is about twentyfour feet across and as yet it has been impossible to find a bottom bot-tom to it It is situated on the top of a little hill and asit is full of water the people Owning laud in the neigborbood have concluded that it could be made to do a good service for them A few of them joined together this spring and began be-gan the construction of a tunnel by which the water could be run off and which they have completed to thelength of about seventyfive feet It is thought that when the tunnel is completed a continual stream of water will flow from this giant well and that irrigation can thus be secured for the thirsty land adjoining ad-joining We hope this will be the case Logan Journal 6th |
