Show THE LACE Shore re people are taking the proper coarse with regard to their striking employees in Chicago The men not only quit work and used their influence prevent others taking their places but took possession of the com panys Bards and employed force to keep the owners and others out The company thereupon went to the court which issued an injunction against the strikers and sent officers to enforce the writ At this writing it is apprebended that trouble will occur when the attempt is made to enforce the writs but whatever may be the immediate result of this action on the part of the company and of tb court the step is a proper one The sooner the law asserts itself and employers and employees are made to understand just j what are their rights the better will it be for all concerned and for the country generally The cause of the workingman as a rule is just but unfortunately un-fortunately his methods are too often wrong as in the case of the Lake Shore strikers who have assumed to take possession and control the property or the company The outcome of tie I movement in Chicago will be eagerly awaited by employers and employees everywhere in these troublous times |
