Show SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION A Briefer but Interesting Session on Monday Evening The monthly meeting of the Sunday School Union was held in the Tabernacle Taber-nacle last evening Alter music by the ban i and singing by the Third Ward choir prayer was offered by Henry W Naisbett Superintendent J C Cutler stated that it had been decided t have a young man appointed from the Wards in rotationto make the opening address at each monthly meeting The Twenty first Ward had been called upon and Fewson J Smith Jr gave an address from written notes on the history of Joseph and Hyrum Smith Superintendent T E Taylor said said the new departures of the meeting were in furtherance of the intention of the Sunday School Union to promote the interests of the youth and each other Much progress has alreadybeen made in the better conduct of the Sunday Sun-day schools causing them to be more interesting To be still more successful the efforts must be thoroughly practical and in harmony with the gospel After remarks by Superintendent George Goddord it was announced that the Fifteenth Ward would furnish the singing for the next meeting The choir sang an anthem and benediction bene-diction was pronounced by Paul A Elkington Sugar House Ward T |
