Show Stormont Jam Destroyed One result of the terrific rainstorm rain-Storm on Wednesday night was the washing away of some eighty feet of the Stormont mill dam in the Virgen River The structure is about a mile and a half above the mill and is 250 feet long the water in the river was so greatly augu mented by the rainfall that the volume became irresistible and swept away all that portion of the dam which occupied the channel proper There will be a suspension of work at the mill until the breach is repaired which will probably be three or four days The mine was not injured in any way work goes ahead there as usual Silver Reef Miner |
