| Show N aturalizations S This week every person competent compe-tent to take out citizenship papers is doing so and this may give some indication 01 the interest felt in the approaching November election On Tuesday morning it is said some thirty persons went up from Salt Lake to Ogden and there made application and wee admitted to citizenship This is done because the Third District Court here Ic ng since adjourned sine die and does not reassemble until thelatter part of the present month white those taking out papers now are doing so I that they can be registered next week The Oglen Herald on Tues day evening says on this subject The First District Court in this city was engaged all day Monday in iesuing final papers to all aliens who pppli d and were entitled to them Eightynine persons per-sons were made citizens of the United States and seventeen declared their intentions in-tentions and took out their first papers i The court will be in session allot tho present end next week This will afford an opportunity for a great number to obtain ob-tain the documents which entitle them to I all the rights of Ameiicai citizenship granted to foreigners S OItis also understood that quite a partly will go to Ogden this morn ing on the same errand being compelled com-pelled to do so because they cannot get their papers Persons are also j going to Ogden from other parts north with the same object in view There was some talk on Tuesday of making an effort to get Governor Murray to call a special session of the Third District court hereto that the ducats of those who desire to be admitted may be kept in this dis trict Whether tl e Governor has consented or will consent remains to be seen but it would seem to make little difference to those interested as they are deter mined to get their papers anyhow S 5 |
