Show IIarriedS On Tuesday Lieutenant E W Young of the Fifth Artillery USA and Miss Nervie Richards were married the ceremony being performed by President Jos F Smith Lieutenant Young recently graduated from the academy at West Point with great credit He is a son of the late Hon Jos A Young and is a young gentleman of undoubted ability sterling character char-acter is energetic and is admired by all for his maay excellent qualities quali-ties of heart and mind Miss Richards is a daughter of H PRichards Esq She is one of the most loveable young ladies and possesses in a marked degree de-gree those rare qualities which make a friend out of every acquaintance ac-quaintance her friends are her admirers ad-mirers her admirers are friends Mr Young is indeed to be envied on his more than good fortune The union has long been impending and as they have been looked upon as eminently suited to each other the consumation cf tee event was the occasion for general rejoicing rejoic-ing A reception held in the evening even-ing at the home of the brides parents par-ents witnessed the assembling of a host of relatives and friends The utmost sociability prevailed and the affair while not wanting in elegan was as free and pleasant as any person could have desired The eveningpassed in looking at the beautiful presents in lively conversation and in partaking par-taking of the elegant repast prepared pre-pared by the only George Arbogast was all too short for the happy and delighted friends and when they did turn to depart it was with a renewal re-newal of the sincere wishes and fervent fer-vent congratulations which had been extended from all quarters during the evening The future is as bright as the happy pair themselves them-selves could desire and that it may remain so always is the sincere wish of the HERALD IS |
