Show Resolutions of Condolence At a meeting of the Blue Ribbon Association As-sociation held in the M E Church Monday evening December 1st 1884 the following resolutions of condolence were unanimously adopted and ordered to be presented to the daily papers for publication Inasmuch as it has pleased Almighty God to remove from us our friend and brother D Banks McKenzie M D therefore Resolved FIRST That we bow with humble submission before the dispensation dispensa-tion I of Divine Providence that has removed re-moved from us our brother in the strength of his manhood and the noon of his life while the tree seemed covered with foliage and the promise of abundant abund-ant fruit SECONDThat we recognize in our deceased brother a man of rare endowments endow-ments possessed of executive energy power of application skill in leadership and devotion to humanity that qualified quali-fied him for preeminent usefulness THIRD Tnat it is the judgement of this society that Dr McKenzie did more than any one man that ever visited this city for the cause of temperance and the benefit of the inebriate FOURTH That this expression of our sympathy and confidence be placed on the records of this secieiy and that a copy be sent to his bereaved wife and family S Signed L S KELSEY > H G DRWITT 5 F GARDINER S f Committee J |
