Show F l = DANGEROUS DISPUTES The h jplit in the Peoples party of Beaver C4ty spoken of elsewhere in this issue of THE HEEALD should be regarded re-garded as a matter for regret by both factions and in the light of what it portends por-tends oughtto beliealed at once instead of allowed to widen and become broad as to be irreparable We are not acquainted ac-quainted with the true inwardness i inward-ness of the affair only knowing know-ing that the bolters or seceders the young men assume that they have not been duly recognized in the political matters of the city and county Whether or not their complaint is well grounded is not known i but it is known that the Peoples party in Beaver is not so formidable and overwhelming in the matter of numbers that it can afford to engage in a quarrel that will disrupt it I Any considerable defection with the I assistance of the Liberals would create a revolution in the government of the county turning turn-ing the latter over to what in reality is the minority and pefhaps bringing great evils upon the people We do note believe that either the young men or the Peoples party can afford in the existing exist-ing condition of things to jeopardize the county as they are doing for the government of either would be better in every respect than the rule which a quarrel carried to its natural outcome out-come will certainly result in If these parties are wise they will call a halt before they have proceeded too far to retreat if they will stop long enough to consider they will realize that there is a common enemy to oppose op-pose and will understand how important impor-tant it is for them to work together if they would defeat that enemy |
